Smitten with Him

Processing Through…

on December 18, 2015

This Tuesday was Alaska‘s birthday. He asked me to make him an ice cream cake and spend the evening (night) with him.

We had a fun play session with the new riding crop I got him as a gift. He totally loves it. He says it makes a better sound than any of his other impact toys back in Anchorage.

He also managed to fit in a couple smacks with the good ole, tried and true switch that I cut for him a couple months ago (he likes the marks it makes)…

But, that’s not what I am going to tell you about here. LOL!

Before playtime started, we happened to be watching Everybody Hates Chris on MTV and the following commercial for one of their new shows came on:

It’s a new fantasy series!

ON MTV!!!!!

And it looks really fucking good… Thing #1 and I are really excited to find out if it’s as good as it looks.

I mentioned that to Alaska when the commercial finished.

I can’t watch shows like that because they give me nightmares.

Maybe your brain is just processing through the information.

When the girls were very little, Doom-n-Gloom got a bearded dragon: Usil.

As you may or may not know, bearded dragons really like crickets (they are actually omnivorous, but that’s not relevant here).

Also, crickets are very, very loud insects. But not baby crickets.

So, for the first couple of months, having Usil was no big deal: we couldn’t hear the crickets, so it was kinda like they weren’t there.

But then he grew up and needed full-grown crickets, which were kept in a plastic cricket keeper in a corner of our very small two-bedroom apartment.

Needless to say, those crickets were very loud and kept my daughters and me up for most of the first night.

I would have gotten rid of the lizard!

The second, third and fourth nights, all three of us had various cricket-themed nightmares.

The fifth night, we slept like babies.

Our brains had processed through whatever-about-those-crickets that was bothering our subconscious.

Maybe you could watch a scary show or go on a roller coaster or do something “scary” and let that information process through your subconscious.

I will be here for you if you wake up scared *wink* LOL!

Nope. That’s my subconscious telling me “Never do that shit again!”
