Someone sent me a gift box last Friday.
Unfortunately I was off promoting Rollerbrights with my crew in Nebraska when it was delivered and I didn’t get it until yesterday (Monday).
I received a message from him while we were at dinner Friday night which surprised the hell out of me! He had asked a while back for an address where he could send me something he’d gotten for me, but it completely slipped my mind.
In my package there was gorgeous set of notepads, my (new) favorite movie and a pair of silver hoop earrings.
It only took one serious conversation with a “serious Dom” for me to finally realize that ‘the lifestyle’ might not be for me.
We had a magnificent time!! There aren’t many skating pictures because I took a lot of video (which, at the time, I did not realize).
Also, there weren’t as many people at the sk8 party as I had anticipated, and most of everyone was local to the area (Illinois, Kansas, Ohio – 2 very sexy brothers from Alabama!). It turns out there were only 150 people there each night. It was a tad bit disappointing, but I saw some of my sk8 family and added a couple to it.
On our drive back, we stopped Sunday night in Kansas City and I skated at Winnwood for their adult night. More people were there than at St. Louis’s actual inter-state sk8 party!
On our way to Sedalia Friday morning to get some coffee! It was a gorgeous morning drive after sleeping at a rest stop in the car Thursday night.
So, I still haven’t told you about my two weekend whirlwind romance with Mr. Dreamboat. You know, the one who proposed on our first date?
For some reason or another, I’ve been putting it off. Not because it was bad or anything, but as it drifts further into my past, the less I remember so I best get to this…
Okay, I left off with our first Saturday morning together and his marriage proposal… From there I had a regular Saturday: grocery shopping, hanging out with my daughters and roller skating with my crew Saturday night.
Dreamboat asked me to come to his place and spend the night with him after skating. I mentioned that I would need a shower and would be famished. His response was, “When you get here just let yourself in. I’ll probably already be in the shower. And I’ll make sure there’s plenty to eat.”
What a sweetheart!
I spent Valentine’s Day weekend in Phoenix for my 2nd Sk8cation.
The drive was amazing. I took an extra day of driving both ways so I wouldn’t have any problems.
On the way there I went into and through the gorgeous mountains! The check engine light came on in Lil Bear and I started to worry. In my head, I panicked a little, but rationalized things out and started thinking of a plan.
My weekend was just about as perfect as a vacation weekend could be.
Unlike Loserman last year, my ride (Mr R) was precisely on time.
Everyone arrived at the airport with plenty of time to get through security. We even had enough time to sit down and have a nice breakfast!
Eleven of us flew (on the same flight, mind you! One is missing from the pic in the far left corner) and one drove. It was unbelievable that so many people went along! 8 boys, 4 girls…
Everything went so smoothly: our flight was on time, we got good rental cars, we had time to stop and get groceries and lunch and alcohol, our rooms were ready when we got to the hotel/s (I stayed across the street because I booked my room in the skate party room block at the host hotel; their reservations were made too late to get the 5 rooms they needed)…
I’m more of a “guys’ night in” type of person, really…
Football, sitcoms, video games…
